Thomas Babinec will be speaking about his and other members of the Lončar group's work with nonclassical light emission in diamond nanowires at both the CLEO/IQEC and NDNC conferences in June.

The Lončar group will be giving a number of talks in the upcoming CLEO conference in Baltimore, including an invited talk by Dr. Murray McCutcheon. Details can be found on the "Conferences" page. Additionally a number of new publications have been posted.

Prof. Lončar will be giving two invited talks titled: "Focused ion-beam milling for nanophotonics, optoelectronics, and quantum optics," and "Nanophotonics platform for quantum information processing in diamond," at the SPIE Photonics West conference in San Jose (January 2009). Also giving a talk will be Parag Deotare and Mughees Khan on "Vapor phase release of silicon nanostructures for optomechanics applications," in the MOEMS-MEMS sub-conference. While Yinan Zhang and Murray McCutcheon will be giving talks titled: "Ultra-high quality factor optical nanocavities based on semiconductor nanowires," and "High Q/V photonic crystal nanocavity design in low refractive index materials" respectively, in the Opto sub-conference.
