Birgit Hausmann
Education
Diploma in Physics, Technical University of Munich (Germany)
Biography
Birgit received her Diploma in Physics with honors from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 2009. During her studies, she received the LAOTSE fellowship to study at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in Applied Physics and is a recipient of the Harvard Quantum Optics Center fellowship. Her research focuses on nanophotonics, and in particular nanoscale resonators as well as single photon sources based on diamond.
Fellowships
- Harvard Quantum Optics Center Graduate Student Fellowship (HQOC-GSF, 2012-2013)
- LAOTSE (Links to Asia by Organising Traineeship and Student Exchange) to study at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and do an internship in Prof. Murray Barrett's Cold Atom Group at the Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore.
