 

#  Our work "Integrated electro-optic isolator on thin-film lithium niobate" is published in Nature Photonics!

 Our group has demonstrated high-performance electro-optic-based isolators in thin-film lithium niobate. By taking the advantage of the inherent non-reciprocity of travelling-wave phase modulator, we achieve an isolation ratio of 48-dB with low device insertion loss of 0.5 dB. Additionally, we test the functionality of our optical isolator by interfacing it with an on-chip distributed-feedback (DFB) laser, and verify that the isolator successfully protects the laser linewidth against reflection.
