Cleaven is from Singapore, and graduated with a BSc in Physics with Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London, where he did undergraduate research on modeling molecular electronic materials. His other research experiences include fabrication and characterization of organic solar cells, and modeling of optical forces and chirality in plasmonic systems. His current research in the Loncar group revolves around quantum optomechanics with silicon vacancy centers in diamond.
