Professor Cheng Wang Visits the Lončar Group

This week, we were excited to welcome back Professor Cheng Wang—now an Associate Professor at City University of Hong Kong—who returned to Harvard to share new results from his group in LN microwave and terahertz photonics.

This Tuesday, the Lončar Group was delighted to welcome back Professor Cheng Wang, an alumnus of our group and now a highly accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong.

Professor Wang completed his PhD in the Lončar Group, where he made foundational contributions to the thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) platform. Since graduating, he has established an outstanding independent research program and become a leading figure in integrated lithium-niobate microwave and terahertz photonics.

During his visit, Professor Wang delivered an inspiring seminar to the Harvard community, presenting recent advances from his lab. His talk sparked active discussions and was enjoyed by everyone in the audience.

Here is a photo of Cheng, Marko, and Evelyn at the talk.
