By implementing the general critical coupling for coupled-resonators, that we developed in our previous work, to the EO comb generation, we demonstrate an EO comb with 30% conversion efficiency and 132nm comb span.

The performance of our EO comb generator features a 100-times higher efficiency and 2.2-times wider span compared to previous our integrated EO comb on thin-film lithium niobate.

Enabled by the performance improvement, we show that the device can work as femtosecond pulse source (336 fs).

In the ultrafast and high power regime, the device generate a frequency comb with EO and third order nonlinearity simultaneously.
