Thor completed his Ph.D. in the group of Prof. Søren Stobbe at DTU Electro, where he developed nanofabrication processes and nanomechanical components for silicon photonics integrated with nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS). His work includes, but is not limited to, comb-drive actuators, low-voltage bistable mechanisms, Casimir-driven self assembly, diffusion doping, and hermetically sealing wafer-scale packaging. Previously, he worked on tunable optical metasurfaces in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS).
During his free time, Thor enjoys basketball, Magic: The Gathering, and hobby electronics.
